Have just listened to the very inspiring Aaron Bhambra from the Wildlife Trusts for Birmingham and the Black Country on the Hymenoptera in general and explaining how to distinguish between groups and in some cases species of solitary bees you are likely to see in your garden.
Amazing how much he squeezed into 45 minutes and now it feels worth trying some identification… and to plant fleabane, weld (pictured) and oxeye daisies which were his top recommendations for attracting solitaries.
