Following the advice of Mark Avery, environment blogger, I’ve been keeping an eye on my site stats and noticed today that while overall visits to this site are small at the moment in the grand scheme of things, yesterday’s blog post on how I was planning to get weed management policies from London Councils caused a spike today even before I’ve had the chance to flag on twitter.
There’ve been 71 visitors to the site and 88 views of that particular post so far today. Only posting the Mark Avery interview back on 31st May caused a bigger spike (77 visitors and 74 views of the interview).
Would be really interested to know who these visitors are…
Hello from Edinburgh. Not sure I show up in your stats as I am able to read your posts via Feedly – my RSS reading app. Enjoying what I’ve read to date and wishing you the best for your endeavours.
In passing, my local council (West Lothian) have yet to cut their verges which has proved a welcome sight. However, some of the less visually minded have taken to cutting their portion of the verge in some places. One thing that has shown is that longer grass areas stays much greener than the brown tinged cut lawns. Though today we are having a good watering from the heavens so that may even things up somewhat.

Thanks for your nice comments. I think there’s quite a way to go before the majority appreciate the aesthetic of longer verges…
